The Australian AUSCAM Desert MKIII, also known as the “Iraq Desert Pattern,” was approved in 2003 and initially issued to Australian personnel deployed to Iraq. This color combination was deemed the most effective and was ultimately approved for general issue to the Australian Armed Forces.
