Why this beanie
The Rhodesian Brushstroke is one of the most collectible military patterns ever worn, and it is not just for outerwear. Used by the Rhodesian Security Forces from 1965 until 1980, this curved green, rust and sand brushline design gives a beanie far more character than a plain knit. It is the easiest way to add a piece of camo history to a winter outfit.
The pattern up close
The wide olive-green fields, rusty-brown patches and thin sand brushstrokes are the signature of the pattern. On a beanie the design wraps around the crown, so the wispy lines curve with the knit instead of sitting flat — the print follows the shape of the head.
