China Type 87 ERDL Camouflage Crewneck Knit Sweatshirt

China’s ERDL, the leaf print behind a generation of PLA uniforms. Type 87 is the uniform series China introduced in 1987, and its camouflage is an ERDL derivative, which makes it the bridge between American jungle printing and Chinese production. Original Type 87 tunics are collectible now and rarely complete, so the print is easier to own on a garment made today.

Why this pattern

China Type 87 ERDL belongs to the ERDL camouflage family on our site and to the Chinese camouflage country series. ERDL was developed in the United States for jungle use and then copied by dozens of armies, China among them, and the Chinese reading kept the leaf geometry while reworking the print for its own production lines.

Easy care

Machine wash cold, inside out, with similar colours. Do not bleach. Tumble dry low or dry flat, away from direct sunlight. Do not iron directly on the print.
