The Rhodesian Brushstroke is the pattern worn by Rhodesian (today Zimbabwean) security forces from the mid-1960s to 1980. It is a brush-drawn camouflage: short horizontal strokes over a solid base rather than soft blotches or pixels, which gives it a painterly, hand-made look that collectors recognise instantly. Instead of a bright olive, you get a greyed sage or olive-drab over a pale base, with the tan and light-brown blocks kept subtle and the fine strokes in a softer olive.
