Pattern: Bulgarian 1946 Splinter
This is the Bulgarian 1946 Splinter, an early post-war pattern in a green-and-brown palette. It uses the angular splinter construction but rounds it off slightly, and the warm tan-and-green palette gives it a distinctly earthy, mid-century feel.
Why own it. Splinter patterns carry real mid-century German lineage, and the strokes stay graphic on a quilted windbreaker instead of looking like a costume.
