Rhodesian Brushstroke v1 Sports Mesh T-shirt

Pattern. What you are looking at here is the Rhodesian Brushstroke — one of the most recognisable brushstroke camouflage patterns of the post-war era — in its classic green-over-brown-on-khaki reading. The base colour is a pale sand-khaki, and over it sit broad, irregular olive-green and warm-brown shapes, while fine scribbled dark strokes cut across them to give the pattern its unmistakable hand-painted, grassy energy.

About the pattern. The Rhodesian Brushstroke was developed in Rhodesia (present-day Zimbabwe) in the 1960s and became the standard camouflage of the Rhodesian Security Forces during the Bush War years. Instead of a rigid grid of shapes, it relies on loose, organically drawn patches that look almost brush-painted. It is a pattern with real history — though please note this garment is a respectful reproduction of the look, not an original issue item.

The v1 variant. This “v1” is the first rendition in our Rhodesian Brushstroke series. On the garment the palette reads warm and classic, closer to the mid-century version of the pattern. The wider collection also includes v2, v2b, v3, v4 and an arid colourway, each carrying its own balance of khaki, green and brown.

The tee is made from a 100% polyester mesh cloth (7.05 oz), with an elastic neckband and double-needle hemmed sleeves and bottom for strength. Cut to a relaxed fit for men, it is an easy everyday piece, and the print on the garment body is resistant to fading so the pattern stays sharp wash after wash.
