Pattern: Sri Lanka Air Tigers

The Cactus is the striped camouflage associated with the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, the LTTE, the group that fought in Sri Lanka from the mid-1970s until 2009. Rather than the leafy blobs of a woodland pattern, the Cactus is built from horizontal bands of parallel stripes, each edged with small thorny, segmented breaks that give it its spiky, cactus-like texture. It belongs to the wider tiger-stripe family, but with a looser, more irregular rhythm of its own.

MegaCamo groups its Cactus renditions by colourway and keeps the wing names for them: the Sea Tigers, the Air Tigers and the Black Tigers. Because the pattern was produced outside a single standardised supply chain, the exact shades vary from one item to the next. The shirt itself

This is the T45 sports mesh t-shirt: 100% polyester mesh cloth at 7.05 oz, with a relaxed fit and a soft hand that keeps it comfortable from the first wear. It weighs about 0.19 kg, so it stays light on the shoulders even in the larger sizes.

The mesh is open enough to move air and dry quickly, and the double-needle hemmed sleeves and bottom hold their shape instead of fraying. The print sits in the fabric and is made not to fade, so the camouflage stays as sharp as the day it was made.
