Pattern: Russian KLMK Berezhka Green Yellow
If you want a camouflage that stops people and starts a conversation, this is it. The Soviet KLMK “Berezhka” — the birch-tree pattern — is one of the most distinctive designs ever issued, and this fleece-lined hoodie carries it in the bright green-yellow colourway that makes it impossible to mistake for anything else.
About the Soviet KLMK Berezhka camouflage
KLMK stands for Kamuflirovannyi Letnii Maskirovochnyi Kombinezon — the “camouflaged summer disguise coverall” developed by the Soviet Union in 1968. It began as a one-piece, hooded lightweight coverall, issued first to KGB border guards and later to airborne troops and many other units, and it was photographed in Afghanistan during the Soviet-Afghan War. The design is a two-colour family of light, angular, toothed leaf-shaped spots scattered across a darker olive-green ground. Unusually for camouflage, the spots are lighter than the background — the reverse of most Western patterns — which is exactly why it reads as so graphic at a glance.
The Green Yellow colourway
This is the green-yellow version: an olive-green base covered with chartreuse and yellow-green leaf and branch shapes that break into jagged stair-steps. It sits closest in spirit to the bright yellow-sand variants worn by border guards, vivid enough to stand out rather than vanish, and it gives the hoodie an almost hand-painted, graphic quality.
How the pattern reads on your hoodie
Printed across the chest, sleeves and hood, the steps and leaf shadows catch the light and shift as you move, so the hoodie looks different from every angle. The all-over print keeps the design continuous across the kangaroo pocket and shoulders, and the flecked, broken edges stop it from flattening into a repetitive repeat.
Why own this fleece-lined hoodie?
Berezka is a true collector’s curiosity — a Cold-War design that predates digital camouflage yet looks as though it was drawn on a grid. Wearing it is a statement, whether you collect militaria, dress streetwear, or simply like owning something few people can name. It is also a warm, comfortable layer you will actually reach for, not a costume piece.
Comfort, fit and build
The outer face carries the full-colour print while the inside is a soft fleece lining, so it traps warmth and feels cosy against the skin. It is a classic pull-over with a drawstring hood, long sleeves and a kangaroo pocket, made from 100% polyester with a smooth drape.
Made to order, sizing and care
Like every MegaCamo garment, this hoodie is printed and sewn on order (Made to Order). Production and fulfilment take 4-7 days before shipping — that is the making time, not the total delivery, which varies by destination afterwards. It comes in sizes S to 5XL; allow for a +/-5% length deviation from manual measurement and production. Care: machine wash cold, do not bleach, do not tumble dry.
