This is the desert sibling of the Irish DPM — the same identifiable disruptive design, recoloured for dry, open terrain. If you like the classic DPM look but prefer a lighter, warmer palette, this is the one to wear.

About the Irish DPM camouflage

The Irish Defence Forces drew on the British DPM family of the 1960s, and the pattern has been printed in several climatic palettes over the years. The desert version swaps the green woodland tones for sand, khaki and a soft earth-brown, so the same disruptive logic works in arid surroundings. As with any military-derived design, treat it as military-inspired clothing rather than an issue item.

The Desert colorway

This rendition uses a pale sand-khaki base carrying tan and mid-brown organic shapes. The softer, lower-contrast palette keeps it readable without being harsh, and it gives the hoodie a warm, desert-toned character that differs strongly from the green woodland version.

How the pattern reads on your hoodie

The sand-and-brown shapes flow across the chest, sleeves and hood in the same broad strokes as the woodland DPM, but with much lower contrast. Up close the organic shapes read clearly; from a distance the hoodie takes on a soft, sandy texture that sits well with tan and khaki clothing.

Desert DPM is a great alternative to the green versions — it is lighter, more neutral and easier to match. It keeps the recognisable disruptive identity but in a palette that works as an everyday neutral, making it a versatile warm layer rather than an overtly military statement. It is also a softer, calmer camo that does not need much styling to look good.

A full-colour print covers the outer fabric while a soft fleece lining keeps you warm and comfortable. It is a classic pull-over with a drawstring hood, long sleeves and a kangaroo pocket, made from 100% polyester with a smooth drape.

It comes in sizes S to 5XL, with a +/-5% possible length deviation from manual measurement and production. Care: machine wash cold, do not bleach, do not tumble dry.
