Finnish M05 Landscape Forest Pattern Camouflage Quilted Lining Windbreaker

Why this jacket

The Finnish M05 is one of the most effective modern woodland camouflages in use. Developed from extensive field testing on Finnish terrain and adopted by the Finnish Defence Forces in 2007, it replaced the older three-colour M91 pattern and is built to hide a soldier across forests, wetlands and rocky ground. Its irregular green, brown and grey splotches look as much like natural shadow as they do a printed pattern, which is exactly the point.

The pattern up close

M05 uses irregular, organic patches rather than hard digital blocks — soft-edged shapes in subdued earth tones that dissolve into the background. On a jacket it gives you a clean, understated camo that works outdoors and still looks sharp in town.

The jacket

This is a quilted-lining windbreaker: a weatherproof-looking shell with a warm layer inside, a full zip, an adjustable hood, elastic cuffs and zip side pockets. It is made to be thrown on as a mid-season or cool-weather layer.
