Pattern: Finnish M62 woodland — Type 1 olive-and-brown rendition

This long-sleeve hooded tee carries the classic Finnish woodland: soft, rounded patches of olive and warm brown with a lighter khaki running underneath, and no sharp angles anywhere. The green sits alongside the brown in about equal measure, giving the print a warmer, earthier read than the green-leaning rendition. It looks hand-drawn and slightly vintage — the kind of camo that feels like issued cloth rather than a modern graphic.

The M62 is the Finnish Defence Forces woodland camouflage, adopted for the armed forces in the early 1960s and still worn into the late 2000s. Its language is loose and organic: medium blobs of green and brown that break the silhouette in north-European woodland. Type 1 is MegaCamo’s label for this warmer olive-and-brown balance of the same design — not an official Finnish designation, just our way of telling the two renditions apart in the catalogue.

How it reads on the garment

The brown-heavy balance gives the pattern a grounded, almost autumnal feel on the print. Because the patches stay large and smooth, the design reads as a mottle across the whole garment rather than a repeating logo, and it travels naturally over the hood, chest and sleeves. Up close the blend of olive and khaki feels soft; a step back and it reads as a straightforward, believable woodland.

Why own this lightweight hooded tee?

This is for anyone drawn to the classic Finnish pattern in its warmer guise — a recognisable woodland that does not shout. It works on its own or as a layer, and the olive-and-brown palette is easy to pair with other earthy clothing. If you are collecting the M62 family, this is the counterpart to the greener Type 2.

Lightweight and hooded, it is the piece you reach for on a mild day, on a hike or as a stretchy middle layer. It is not a fleece, so it keeps you comfortable when the weather is only slightly cool.

Fit, fabric & care

The tee is 94% polyester / 6% spandex — soft, slightly stretchy and quick to dry. It is cut long-sleeve with a hood, in sizes S to 3XL, and weighs around 0.374 kg, so it folds up small for a bag. Printed garments run roughly ±5% on the dimensions, so if you are between sizes, order up or check the chart.

Care: machine wash at or below 45°C, do not bleach, and avoid soaking for long periods so the colours stay vivid. As a made-to-order print, small differences in print placement from piece to piece are normal.
