Pattern: German Multitarn BW Neu
The Bundeswehr’s newest camouflage — a green-grey multispectral flecktarn in a bright, light palette.
About the pattern
Multitarn (also written Multitarndruck) is the newest German Bundeswehr camouflage. Camopedia records that initial research began around 2012, overseen by the WIWeB (Federal Army Material and Supply Research Institute). It incorporates light green, dark green, brown, beige, grey and off-white colours in a design based on the standard BW flecktarn pattern, was initially supplied only to the German Army Special Operations Command (KSK), and in July 2025 the Ministry of Defense announced all new Bundeswehr uniforms would be made in Multitarn, filtering out to conventional units from 2028. One distinct improvement is increased efficacy against night-vision devices. This “BW Neu” render is a bright, light take on that Multitarn design.
This Multitarn BW Neu colourway
The ground is a light green-tan, and over it sit a dense scatter of small flecks, dots and irregular shapes in a light green, a greyish-green, a beige, a brown and an off-white. The flecks are small, rounded and closely packed. The palette is bright and light — light green, grey-green, beige, brown and off-white with no deep dark colours — giving the pattern a soft, airy, modern look. It reads as a light, multispectral version of flecktarn, brighter and more open than the temperate green-and-brown.
How it reads on the garment
Because the palette is light and the flecks are dense, this pattern prints with a soft, bright, modern feel. On the body the light green-tan ground is covered by the dense scatter of light green, beige and brown flecks, giving the surface a soft, pointillist texture. It reads as the newest Bundeswehr camouflage, bright and airy. The light ground blends cleanly into the light hood lining and collar, keeping the neckline tidy.
Why own it
If you want the most current German camouflage, the Multitarn is a strong and historically significant pick — it is documented as the newest Bundeswehr design, set to replace Flecktarn for all new uniforms, and it is designed to be more effective against night-vision devices. This bright “BW Neu” version appeals to collectors of modern Bundeswehr camouflage. And its light green, beige and brown palette is bright and wearable, pairing naturally with olive, khaki, tan, denim and cream.

Production and fulfilment take about 4–7 days before your order is handed to shipping; courier delivery time then depends on your destination. Please double-check the size chart before ordering — because each item is made for you, returns are easier to avoid by choosing the right size up front. If a print runs slightly differently from what you see on screen, that is the nature of made-to-order garment printing.
Disclosure
This is a reproduction / military-inspired item, not an issued uniform, and the garment itself is a modern printed piece for everyday wear. The Multitarn naming and its WIWeB development come from documented pattern history; “BW Neu” is a MegaCamo colourway label and this is not official issue equipment.
