Horizontal stripes with spiny, broken edges: grass green and brown running across a khaki ground, with darker accents in the thicker stripes. This v2 reading is the greener of the two MegaCamo colourways, with the green stripes taking the lead.

The design is the cactus pattern of the LTTE, the Tamil Tigers of Sri Lanka. It first appeared in the late 1980s and its origins are undetermined; it is built from horizontal spiny stripes of brown and grass green on a khaki ground, and both horizontal and vertically-oriented versions have been documented in use. Branches of the movement wore their own colourways of the same stripe design: powder blue for the Air Tigers, that blue with a darker blue stripe added for the Sea Tigers, and black and grey for the Black Tigers. MegaCamo sells two readings of the cactus pattern, labelled v1 and v2; those numbers are catalogue labels and not documented LTTE designations.

The shirt itself

This is the T45 sports mesh t-shirt: 100% polyester mesh cloth at 7.05 oz, with a relaxed fit and a soft hand that keeps it comfortable from the first wear. It weighs about 0.19 kg, so it stays light on the shoulders even in the larger sizes.

The mesh is open enough to move air and dry quickly, and the double-needle hemmed sleeves and bottom hold their shape instead of fraying. The print sits in the fabric and is made not to fade, so the camouflage stays as sharp as the day it was made.
