The field is a cool steel blue, built from square pixels: navy blocks and pale blue ones that keep the tone bright, darker slate clusters that give it depth, and thin dark lines of pixel where the shades meet. It is a blue pattern and stays blue, with no green in the ground, which is what separates it from the army reading of the same family, and the contrast is moderate, so the surface looks calm rather than busy.

The naval member of the Ukrainian pixel family carries the designation MM-16F. It was introduced for the ship’s complement of the Ukrainian Navy, dated 2016 in Ukrainian military writing and recorded from 2017 in other accounts, so the year is best read as from 2016 onwards rather than as one fixed date; collectors call it the Ukrainian naval pixel. It is a re-coloration of the standard Ukrainian Army design, with the same pixel geometry in a different colourway, and it is recorded for the navy’s ship’s complement and conventional personnel rather than automatically for every naval branch. Its palette is blue-dominant, in blue, grey and black. MegaCamo labels this one the Ukrainian navy MM16.
