Belgian Brushstroke v4 Lightweight Hooded T-Shirt

Pattern: Belgian Brushstroke — v4 (pale desert)

This is the pale, desaturated rendition of the Belgian Brushstroke. Where the v2 and v3 lean green, the v4 re-colours the same streaky brushstroke construction into a dry, low-contrast palette that reads far more desert and summer than woodland.

The v4 ground is a pale sand-tan, almost cream. The long brushstrokes become a soft grey-green and a dusty brown, with a touch of warm mauve in some bands. The whole pattern is quiet and matte: nothing is bright, and the shapes melt into one another more than they contrast. It keeps the directional, painted character but strips away saturation.

On the shirt the pale brushstrokes read as a light, natural desert camo — soft and easy on the eye. It is a wonderfully wearable summer or everyday piece, because the low contrast makes it look more like a subtle tonal print than a bold military pattern. It pairs easily with light clothing.

Why own it: the v4 is the desert face of the Belgian brushstroke. The pale, matte palette is unusual and elegant, and it gives the same hand-painted construction a completely different, much calmer character that is genuinely pleasant to wear.

The garment. This is a lightweight long-sleeve hooded T-shirt, printed all over with the pattern you see on the image. It is cut with long sleeves and a hood and fits as a regular, athletic top. The fabric is a 94% polyester / 6% spandex blend, so it stretches with you, feels smooth against the skin and takes the all-over print cleanly. It is a lightweight piece — about 0.374 kg — and runs in sizes S to 3XL.

Fit and size. Because the sizes run S–3XL, pick the one closest to your usual top size; the stretch in the spandex gives a little forgiveness, but for a closer cut take a size down and for a looser, layer-over fit take a size up. The print is applied across the whole garment, so the pattern continues over the chest, arms and hood without a break.

Made to Order. Each shirt is printed and sewn after you place your order. Production and fulfilment take roughly 4 to 7 days before the item ships — that is the time to make and pack it, not the total delivery time, which then depends on transport once it leaves us. It is not sitting on a shelf, and that is what lets us offer patterns that would never be worth stocking.

Care. To protect the print, machine wash at or below 45°C, do not use bleach and avoid prolonged soaking. Launder on a normal cycle with like colours and don’t tumble dry hot. Cold, gentle washing is the best way to keep the colours bright.
