About the Irish Naval Service DPM

The Irish Defence Forces have long used the DPM (Disruptive Pattern Material) family, and the Naval Service adopted a distinctive blue-grey rendition so its personnel would blend in more against the sea and naval environments. It keeps the disruptive shapes of the land pattern but replaces the greens and browns with greys, slate and pale blue-grey — matching the cool, monochrome palette of a ship and its surroundings. Treat it as military-inspired wear, not an issued uniform.

The Naval colorway

This rendition uses a light grey-blue base with paler grey and darker slate-blue organic shapes. The cool, low-saturation palette gives the pattern a clean, contemporary look that is noticeably different from the earth-toned woodland and desert versions.
