About the pattern

Eichenlaub (“oak leaf”) is a German World War Two camouflage pattern built from jagged, oak-leaf and dot shapes rather than soft organic blobs. The ground is a brown-tan, and over it sit jagged, oak-leaf and dot shapes in a brown, a tan, a green and a darker olive, with scattered black accents. The shapes are angular and leaf-like, with the characteristic jagged edges. The palette is warm and autumn-toned — brown, tan, olive-green and dark accents — giving the pattern an oak-leaf, autumnal character. It is fairly dense, with the small leaf shapes and dots closely scattered, giving it a busy, organic texture.
