Pattern: German WWII Erbsenmuster Pea Dot 44 Dark
A darker, richer “pea dot” — brown, green and black dots over deep dark patches, the deep-toned late-WW2 German classic.
About the pattern
Erbsenmuster, or “pea dot”, is a German World War Two camouflage pattern introduced in 1944, built from a base of irregular patches overlaid with a dense field of small rounded dots — the “peas”. The standard version is dark and richly dappled; this Dark render is the deepest, most shadowed take on the pattern, with a very dark ground and richer, more saturated dots. It keeps the pointillist dot structure but in a deeper, darker palette than the standard or Light versions.
This Erbsenmuster Pea Dot 44 Dark colourway
The ground consists of broad, irregular patches in a very dark olive-brown and near-black, and over it sit dense rounded dots in a tan, a light olive-green, a dull green and a brown. The dots are small and closely packed, giving the pattern a pointillist, dappled appearance, and the dark patches sit behind them, creating strong, deep contrast. The palette is warm but very deep — tan, olive and brown dots over dark olive-brown and charcoal. It is dense, dark and highly detailed, the deepest of the pea-dot family.
How it reads on the garment
Because the dots are dense and the ground is very dark, this pattern prints with a rich, textured, deep feel. Up close you can read the individual pea dots and the dark patches behind them; at a distance the dense dappling merges into a deep, mottled field. It is one of the most visually rich and detailed German camos. The dark ground sits reasonably against the light hood lining and collar, keeping the neckline neat.
Why own it
The Erbsenmuster is one of the most famous and collectible German World War Two patterns, and this Dark render is the deepest and richest version — its dark, saturated dappling is a striking departure from the standard version. It appeals strongly to collectors of German camo who want the most dramatic pea-dot variation. And its deep brown, tan and olive palette still pairs naturally with olive, khaki, brown, tan and denim.

Production and fulfilment take about 4–7 days before your order is handed to shipping; courier delivery time then depends on your destination. Please double-check the size chart before ordering — because each item is made for you, returns are easier to avoid by choosing the right size up front. If a print runs slightly differently from what you see on screen, that is the nature of made-to-order garment printing.
Disclosure
This is a reproduction / military-inspired item, not an issued uniform, and the garment itself is a modern printed piece for everyday wear. The Erbsenmuster “pea dot” naming and its 1944 introduction come from documented German pattern history; “Dark” is a MegaCamo colourway label and this is not official issue equipment.
