Pattern: German WWII Sumpfmuster 43 v3
A muted olive-tan marsh camouflage — the darker, more subdued take on the German Sumpfmuster with finer rain streaks.
About the pattern
Sumpfmuster (marsh camouflage) is a German World War Two-era pattern built from soft, water-like blotches overlaid with fine rain streaks, designed for marshy, waterlogged terrain. Camopedia notes it was a wartime pattern that was later revived by the West German BGS in the late 1950s. This v3 render is a darker, more subdued take on the marsh pattern — softer and more muted than the brighter v2, with the same soft blotch-and-rain-streak construction but in a lower-contrast palette.
This Sumpfmuster 43 v3 colourway
The ground is an olive-tan, muted and warm, and over it sit soft, water-like blotches in a slightly darker olive-green and a dusty brown, with a fine rain-streak texture running across the whole surface. The blotches are broad and irregular, and the palette is close in value, so the pattern reads as a low-contrast, earthy marsh camo. The rain streaks are fine and subtle, adding a wet, mottled texture. The overall cast is muted and natural, with none of the brighter russet of the v2.
How it reads on the garment
Because the palette is muted and the blotches are soft, this pattern prints with a gentle, understated feel rather than a bold one. On the body the olive-tan ground sits behind the darker olive and dusty-brown blotches, merging into a soft, mottled field, with the fine rain streaks adding texture. It reads as a natural, earthy camo that is easy to wear and not visually aggressive. The muted ground sits well against the light hood lining and collar, keeping the neckline tidy.
Why own it
If you like the German marsh pattern but want something softer and easier to wear than the brighter version, this v3 is a good pick — the muted olive-tan palette is understated and natural. It carries the same documented wartime German lineage as the rest of the Sumpfmuster family, so it appeals to collectors of German World War Two camouflage. And its muted olive and brown palette pairs naturally with olive, khaki, tan, denim and brown, making it an easy everyday camo.

Production and fulfilment take about 4–7 days before your order is handed to shipping; courier delivery time then depends on your destination. Please double-check the size chart before ordering — because each item is made for you, returns are easier to avoid by choosing the right size up front. If a print runs slightly differently from what you see on screen, that is the nature of made-to-order garment printing.
Disclosure
This is a reproduction / military-inspired item, not an issued uniform, and the garment itself is a modern printed piece for everyday wear. The Sumpfmuster naming comes from documented pattern history; “43” and “v3” are MegaCamo labels for this render, which is not official issue equipment.
