Pattern: German WWII Sumpfmuster 43 v2
The marsh camouflage pattern — tan, green and russet soft blotches with fine rain-streak texture.
About the pattern
Sumpfmuster (marsh or swamp camouflage) is a German World War Two-era pattern built from soft, water-like blotches overlaid with fine rain streaks. It was named for the marshy waterlogged terrain it was designed to break up. Camopedia notes the pattern was later revived by the West German Bundesgrenzschutz (BGS) in the late 1950s, and distinguishes the later BGS versions from the wartime original. This render is a wartime-style Sumpfmuster, with the familiar soft blotch-and-rain-streak construction that characterises the marsh camo family.
This Sumpfmuster 43 v2 colourway
The ground is a warm tan-ochre, and over it sit soft, water-like blotches in an olive-green and a russet or red-brown, all overlaid with a fine vertical rain-streak texture. The blotches are broad and irregular, flowing into one another with soft edges, and the rain streaks cut thinly across the whole pattern, giving it a wet, mottled appearance. The palette is warm and earthy — tan, olive and russet — with the close values creating a low-contrast, naturalistic look.
How it reads on the garment
Because the blotches are soft and overlaid with fine rain streaks, this pattern prints with a textured, water-like feel rather than a crisp graphic one. Up close you can see the individual blotches and the thin rain-streak lines; at a distance they merge into a warm, mottled field. It reads as a natural, organic camo with a distinctly marshy character, and the low contrast makes it easy to wear. The warm ground sits well against the light hood lining and collar, keeping the neckline tidy.
Why own it
If you like German World War Two camouflage, the Sumpfmuster is a classic and slightly less common pick than the famous splinter and pea-dot patterns — it has a softer, more water-like character. It carries genuine historical interest, and its warm tan, olive and russet palette is also easy to wear, pairing naturally with olive, khaki, tan, denim and brown. It is a distinctive, organic camo.

Made to order
Each hooded tee is printed and sewn to order rather than stored in a warehouse, so the pattern is freshly applied for you. Production and fulfilment take about 4–7 days before your order is handed to shipping; courier delivery time then depends on your destination. Please double-check the size chart before ordering — because each item is made for you, returns are easier to avoid by choosing the right size up front. If a print runs slightly differently from what you see on screen, that is the nature of made-to-order garment printing.
Disclosure
This is a reproduction / military-inspired item, not an issued uniform, and the garment itself is a modern printed piece for everyday wear. The Sumpfmuster naming comes from documented pattern history; “43” and “v2” are MegaCamo labels for this render, which is not official issue equipment.
