About the Rhodesian Brushstroke

The Rhodesian Brushstroke is the pattern worn by Rhodesian (today Zimbabwean) security forces from the mid-1960s to 1980. It is a brush-drawn camouflage: short horizontal strokes laid over a solid base rather than soft blotches or pixels, giving it a painterly, hand-finished quality that collectors can spot immediately. The 2nd Pattern of the 1970-80 period is the green-over-brown build – green lamellae on top, brown beneath, on a khaki base – and that is the reading v3 leans into most strongly.

The v3 colorway: bold green over brown

v3 is the MegaCamo label for this rendition, and to the eye it is the fullest expression of the classic palette. A light tan base carries broad, saturated olive-green shapes and warm mid-brown blocks, with fine olive and brown strokes scattered across the surface. The contrast between the green and the tan is at its highest here, which is what makes the pattern read so decisively. It is the green-on-brown brushstroke, turned up.

To keep it at its best, machine wash cold, do not bleach and do not tumble dry.
