About the tiger stripe family

The tiger stripe is a family of jungle camouflage developed by South Vietnamese forces for close-range jungle combat, adopted by US Special Forces in Vietnam from late 1962 to early 1963. The classic layout is feather-edged horizontal bands over a mid-tone base, and it is one of the most recognisable military patterns of the Cold War era.

The Type 3 colorway

“Type 3” is the MegaCamo label for this rendition. By eye it is the subdued member of the set: a muted olive-khaki ground broken by dark brown, olive and grey feather-edged bands. To keep it at its best, machine wash cold, do not bleach and do not tumble dry.
