Pattern: Austrian Jagdkommando pixeltarnung — Desert

This is the desert colourway of the Austrian Jagdkommando pixel pattern. It uses the same blocky, digital construction as the temperate version but re-colours it for dry and open terrain, so the whole pattern brightens and desaturates.

MegaCamo’s catalogue calls this the Austrian Jagdkommando pixeltarnung Desert. On the image the ground is a pale sand-tan, and the pixel fragments are a grey-brown, a darker tan and a reddish-brown, again built from tiny blocky squares. The palette is warm and pale, with no green at all.

On the hooded tee the pale pixel pattern reads as a bright, modern desert camo. The blocky texture gives it a clean, technical look, and the sand palette makes it a natural fit for summer, arid and travel wear. It feels crisp and current rather than dated.

Why own it: the desert pixel is the light, modern counterpart to the temperate Jagdkommando. The sand-and-brown digital palette is clean and contemporary, and it gives you the same distinctive Austrian special-forces pattern in a dry, easy-to-wear colourway.

The garment. This is a lightweight long-sleeve hooded T-shirt, printed all over with the pattern you see on the image. It is cut with long sleeves and a hood and fits as a regular, athletic top. The fabric is a 94% polyester / 6% spandex blend, so it stretches with you, feels smooth against the skin and takes the all-over print cleanly. It is a lightweight piece — about 0.374 kg — and runs in sizes S to 3XL.

Fit and size. Because the sizes run S–3XL, pick the one closest to your usual top size; the stretch in the spandex gives a little forgiveness, but for a closer cut take a size down and for a looser, layer-over fit take a size up. The print is applied across the whole garment, so the pattern continues over the chest, arms and hood without a break.

Made to Order. Each shirt is printed and sewn after you place your order. Production and fulfilment take roughly 4 to 7 days before the item ships — that is the time to make and pack it, not the total delivery time, which then depends on transport once it leaves us. It is not sitting on a shelf, and that is what lets us offer patterns that would never be worth stocking.

Care. To protect the print, machine wash at or below 45°C, do not use bleach and avoid prolonged soaking. Launder on a normal cycle with like colours and don’t tumble dry hot. Cold, gentle washing is the best way to keep the colours bright.
