Pattern: Chocolate Chip Desert MKII

This is the MKII rendition of the six-colour desert ‘chocolate chip’ camouflage. It keeps the same construction — broad wavy bands softened by small scattered chips — but runs it in a cooler grey-green and khaki palette that sets it apart from the sandy MKI.

MegaCamo’s catalogue calls this the Chocolate Chip Desert MKII. On the image a pale grey-cream ground is crossed by wavy bands of khaki-olive and a grey-blue, with small brown ‘chips’ scattered across. The palette is cooler and more muted than the sand MKI, with the grey-blue band adding a soft, desaturated tone.

On the hooded tee the cool chip pattern reads as a muted, low-key desert camo. The khaki and grey-blue bands are calm and easy on the eye, and the scattered chips keep the chocolate-chip character. It is a versatile, understated piece that pairs well with neutral layers.

The garment. This is a lightweight long-sleeve hooded T-shirt, with the print carried across the whole garment. It is cut with long sleeves and a hood and fits as a regular, athletic top. The fabric is a 94% polyester / 6% spandex blend, so it stretches with you, feels smooth against the skin and takes the print cleanly. It is a lightweight piece — about 0.374 kg — and runs in sizes S to 3XL.

Fit and size. Measuring beats guessing: match your own measurements against the size chart, since every piece is produced to order. The stretch in the spandex gives a little forgiveness, but for a closer cut take a size down and for a looser, layer-over fit take a size up. Production measurement tolerance is ±5%.

Made to Order. Each shirt is printed and sewn after you place your order. Production and fulfilment take roughly 4 to 7 days before the item ships — that is the time to make and pack it, not the total delivery time, which then depends on transport once it leaves us. It is not sitting on a shelf, and that is what lets us offer patterns that would never be worth stocking.

Care. To protect the print, machine wash at or below 45°C, do not use bleach and avoid prolonged soaking. Launder on a normal cycle with like colours and don’t tumble dry hot. Cold, gentle washing is the best way to keep the colours bright.
