About the US Duck Hunter (frogskin)

Duck Hunter, also known as frog skin, has roots in 1942, when cloth was commissioned for US Marine Raiders. Its best-known form, the M1942 reversible “frog skin”, was worn by US Marines in the Pacific. The original fabric was reversible – one green, spring/summer side and one brown, autumn side – and both were built from small, soft, leaf- and pebble-like blotches rather than stripes or pixels.

The Winter 01 colorway

“Winter 01” is the MegaCamo label for this winter rendition. By eye it is the most contrasted of the winter frogskins: a white base carrying darker grey-green blotches and grey pebbles, with the deepest shadows of the trio. It is the one that keeps a clear pattern even on bright ground, so it reads as a proper winter camo rather than a washed-out print.

How the pattern reads on your hoodie

Because the design is made of soft rounded blotches instead of fine stripes or dense dots, it spreads cleanly across the chest, down the sleeves and over the kangaroo pocket without turning to noise. The deeper grey-green shapes hold their shape across a big print, and the smooth printed face keeps the edges crisp. It is a crisp, wintry take that works well on a full-length garment like this.

Expect 4 to 7 days of production before it ships, on top of transport. Sizes run S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL and 5XL, with a +/-5% tolerance in length from manual measurement and the print process. To keep it at its best, machine wash cold, do not bleach and do not tumble dry.
