Pattern: French 1951 Lizard type A1
Discover more French fatigues across the French camouflage collection, or go straight to the French Lizard A1 category. The type that collectors know as TAP47 appeared around 1947, and from the 1950s it was the standard pattern for French paratroopers, including during the Algerian campaigns. This is the classic, slightly faded Lizard look: a pale olive-khaki ground covered with loose, roughly horizontal patches of deeper olive, brown and a touch of reddish rust.
Why own it. It dries quickly, folds small, and puts the pattern on something you use and wash often rather than something you keep stored.
The beach towel. 52% polyester and 48% cotton, with a soft white cotton loop backing that takes the water and a printed face that carries the pattern. The print runs on one side, the towel dries quickly, and the fabric is light enough to fold down small in a bag for the beach, the pool or the gym.
Size. One size, cut generously. As a made-to-order item the towel carries a small production tolerance.
Made to Order. There is a fulfilment time of 4 to 7 days for the fabric printing and the sewing. Shipping directly after fulfillment.
Printed and sewn on order. Shipping directly after fulfillment from our supplier.
Care. Hand wash or a gentle machine cycle. Do not bleach. Iron on low heat if needed.
