French Lizard F1 is the balanced heart of the French lizard family. The base is a pale olive-sage, and over it go brushstrokes in a muted maroon, a deeper olive and a soft tan. Every colour is present in proportion, so the pattern reads evenly — not too red, not too green, not too pale.

MegaCamo labels this one the French Lizard F1. The family is the lizard — camouflage léopard in French — the brushstroke camouflage developed from the British Denison smock that the French Army wore from 1947 into the late 1980s and known to collectors as TAP 47. It was never a single fixed print: the design came out in numerous dye lots and cloths over roughly a decade, all issued side by side, and F1 captures the archetypal look of that heritage.

On a sports mesh tee the three-tone balance earns its keep. The olive, maroon and tan stay readable at a distance without ever turning the shirt busy, and because the mesh is light and open it wears close to a plain summer tee — which is what makes this pattern usable beyond a collector’s shelf. The shirt itself

This is the T45 sports mesh t-shirt: 100% polyester mesh cloth at 7.05 oz, with a relaxed fit and a soft hand that keeps it comfortable from the first wear. It weighs about 0.19 kg, so it stays light on the shoulders even in the larger sizes.

The mesh is open enough to move air and dry quickly, and the double-needle hemmed sleeves and bottom hold their shape instead of fraying. The print sits in the fabric and is made not to fade, so the camouflage stays as sharp as the day it was made.
