About the pattern

The Basij is the volunteer paramilitary force within the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, a large and long-running presence in Iranian military and civilian life. Alongside the regular IRGC and Artesh, Basij units have worn modern pixelated camouflage, and this render is part of that family: a digital print of small even squares rather than leaf blobs. The v1, v2 and v3 colourways here are MegaCamo’s own labels for three distinct renders of the same pixel construction, each with a different accent. v1 is the brightest and most desert-facing of the three.

This Basij v1 colourway

The base is a pale cream, almost an off-white sand, and over it sit pixel clusters in a clear, slightly teal-leaning green, a warm tan and scattered near-black accents. The cream ground reads fully, so the overall cast is light and airy, closer to a desert digital than to a dark woodland. The pixels are small and tightly packed, giving the print a fine, busy grain. Among the three Basij renders this is the one that leans most toward a light, pale desert palette.

How it reads on the garment

Because the base is a pale cream, this pattern prints with a bright, open feel rather than a heavy one. On the body the cream ground dominates, with the green and tan pixels breaking it up in a lively, energetic rhythm. It has the look of a modern desert digital, but the green keeps it from feeling like a plain tan print. The pale cream ground blends cleanly into the light hood lining and collar, leaving a tidy neckline.
