Pattern: Netherlands 1980 Koninklijke Landmacht Jigsaw
A green-and-mauve jigsaw puzzle camouflage — one of the Dutch Army’s 1980s jigsaw trials, in a soft grey-green and violet palette.
About the pattern
The Dutch Army’s turn toward camouflage began in the 1980s, and Camopedia records that around 1980 some units were issued a rainsuit produced by the Belgian firm Seyntex and printed in a jigsaw-type camouflage design. This render belongs to that 1980s jigsaw trial family, using the large interlocking puzzle shapes that define the jigsaw style. This particular colourway is a soft, muted version — grey-green and a grey-violet set against a khaki-brown ground, with darker organic squiggles overlaid. It is a distinctive, unusual take on the jigsaw family.
This Koninklijke Landmacht Jigsaw colourway
The base is a muted khaki-brown, and over it sit large, interlocking jigsaw puzzle shapes in a grey-green and a soft grey-mauve or violet. The puzzle pieces are broad and blocky, fitting together like a puzzle, with the khaki-brown showing through between them. Layered over the top are finer, darker organic squiggles and broken marks. The combination of grey-green and violet gives the pattern an uncommon, almost cool-toned character that stands apart from most warm green-and-brown jigsaws. The palette is soft and low-contrast.
How it reads on the garment
Because the palette is muted and the values are close, this pattern prints with a soft, gentle feel rather than a bold one. On the body the grey-green and violet puzzle pieces give a broad, interlocking structure, while the darker squiggles add fine detail across the top. It reads clearly as a jigsaw-family camo, but with a calm, subdued character that is easy on the eye. The muted ground sits well against the light hood lining and collar, keeping the neckline clean.
Why own it
If you want a jigsaw camo that is unusual rather than the standard green and brown, this Koninklijke Landmacht render is a strong pick — the grey-green and violet palette is genuinely distinctive and uncommon. It is tied to the documented 1980s Dutch jigsaw trials and the Seyntex connection, so it appeals to collectors of Belgian and Dutch camouflage. And its muted, low-contrast palette makes it an easy, understated everyday camo that pairs with grey, olive, denim and brown.

Production and fulfilment take about 4–7 days before your order is handed to shipping; courier delivery time then depends on your destination. Please double-check the size chart before ordering — because each item is made for you, returns are easier to avoid by choosing the right size up front. If a print runs slightly differently from what you see on screen, that is the nature of made-to-order garment printing.
Disclosure
This is a reproduction / military-inspired item, not an issued uniform, and the garment itself is a modern printed piece for everyday wear. The Koninklijke Landmacht jigsaw naming and the 1980s Seyntex affiliation come from documented pattern history, but this is a modern printed piece, not official Dutch issue equipment.
