Pattern: Netherlands Korps Mariniers Jigsaw
A Belgian-style jigsaw puzzle camouflage — black squiggles over large brown and green puzzle shapes on a khaki ground.
About the pattern
Camopedia records that the earliest pattern developed specifically for the Dutch Korps Mariniers (Royal Marines) was based on the Belgian jigsaw design. It consisted of black squiggles over large brown and grass-green puzzle shapes on a khaki background, and the uniforms were in fact made by the Belgian firm Seyntex for the Netherlands Marine Corps. It dates to the early 1980s but existed for only a few years and was never fully implemented. This render is that distinctive Seyntex-made Korps Mariniers jigsaw.
This Korps Mariniers Jigsaw colourway
The base is a warm khaki, and over it sit large, interlocking jigsaw puzzle shapes in a grass green and a brown. The shapes are big and blocky, fitting together like puzzle pieces, with the khaki showing through between them. Layered over the top are finer black squiggles and small dark marks that break across the larger shapes. It is a two-scale design — large puzzle pieces plus small black squiggles — which gives it a busy, layered character. The green, brown and khaki palette is warm and natural.
How it reads on the garment
Because the shapes are large and blocky but overlaid with fine black squiggles, this pattern prints with a distinctive two-scale rhythm. On the body the large green and brown puzzle pieces give the surface a broad structure, while the black squiggles add fine scatter and broken detail across the top. It reads clearly as a jigsaw-family camo, with a busy, almost hand-drawn quality. The warm khaki ground sits well against the light hood lining and collar, keeping the neckline neat.
Why own it
If you like the jigsaw family of camouflage, this is a rare and characterful example — the combination of large puzzle shapes with fine black squiggles is distinctive, and it is tied to a documented, short-lived Korps Mariniers design made by Seyntex. For collectors of Belgian and Dutch camouflage it is a genuine curiosity, and for everyday wearers its warm green-brown-khaki palette makes it a natural, wearable camo that pairs with olive, khaki, denim and brown.

Made to order
Each hooded tee is printed and sewn to order rather than stored in a warehouse, so the pattern is freshly applied for you. Production and fulfilment take about 4–7 days before your order is handed to shipping; courier delivery time then depends on your destination. Please double-check the size chart before ordering — because each item is made for you, returns are easier to avoid by choosing the right size up front. If a print runs slightly differently from what you see on screen, that is the nature of made-to-order garment printing.
Disclosure
This is a reproduction / military-inspired item, not an issued uniform, and the garment itself is a modern printed piece for everyday wear. The Korps Mariniers jigsaw naming and the Seyntex / early-1980s association come from documented pattern history, but this is a modern printed piece, not official Dutch issue equipment.
