Pattern: Australian Desert AUSCAM MKIII

Why own it: the MKIII is the palest and most muted of the Australian desert set. The MKIII desert colourway sits on a very pale, almost greenish-sand base. This is a later desert rendition of the Australian DPCU disruptives.

The soft-rounded shapes are filled with a warm brown, a muted mauve-grey and a light olive-grey, with very little saturation. It is understated and easy to wear, and the low-contrast palette gives it a subtle, modern feel rather than a bold camo look. Launder on a normal cycle with like colours and don’t tumble dry hot. Cold, gentle washing is the best way to keep the colours bright.

This is the T45 sports mesh t-shirt: 100% polyester mesh cloth at 7.05 oz, with a relaxed fit and a soft hand that keeps it comfortable from the first wear. It weighs about 0.19 kg, so it stays light on the shoulders even in the larger sizes.

The mesh is open enough to move air and dry quickly, and the double-needle hemmed sleeves and bottom hold their shape instead of fraying. The print sits in the fabric and is made not to fade, so the camouflage stays as sharp as the day it was made.
