About the Australian AMCU
AMCU is a broad multiscale design, it carries several layers of organic shapes at different scales so that it works from close up to distance, and it was shaped by the same design school that produced the widely-used multiscale US pattern. Why own it: AMCU is the current Australian combat pattern, a genuine national design that replaced the well-known Auscam. AMCU is the modern combat pattern of the Australian Defence Force, general-issued from 2014 onwards.
The Australian AMCU on this T-shirt
The artwork is printed across the whole shirt rather than applied as a small chest badge, so the pattern keeps its scale from the front to the back and down the sleeves. On 190GSM cotton the tones read cleanly, the fabric is flat enough to hold fine detail, and the print stays soft rather than sitting on the surface as a heavy patch.
