Pattern: Afghan NDS ERDL v2
A cooler, greener ERDL-style woodland — green, grey and dark green leaf-and-blotch shapes on a muted ground.
About the pattern
ERDL is an early US woodland camouflage developed in the 1940s-60s, built from large soft organic shapes in green, brown, grey and black on a tan ground. It was the predecessor to the M81 woodland and was widely copied. This Afghan NDS (National Directorate of Security)-associated v2 render is a cooler, greener ERDL-style woodland, with a more green-dominant palette than the warm v1. It is a distinct variant of the ERDL family.
This Afghan NDS ERDL v2 colourway
The ground is a muted grey-green, and over it sit large, soft, organic shapes in a green, a grey-green, a dark grey and a brown, with a few pale tan accents. The shapes are irregular and amoeba-like, with rounded, broken edges, and they overlap to break up the surface. Compared to v1, the ground here is cooler and greener, and the greens are more dominant. The palette is cool and green — grey-green, green, dark grey and brown — giving the pattern a greener, more muted woodland look.
How it reads on the garment
Because the shapes are large and soft and the palette is green, this pattern prints with a natural, mottled woodland feel that is greener than v1. On the body the grey-green ground sits behind the green, grey and brown shapes, giving the surface a soft, organic texture. It reads as a green ERDL-style woodland, natural and easy to wear. The muted ground sits reasonably against the light hood lining and collar, keeping the neckline tidy.
Why own it
If you like the ERDL and woodland family and prefer a greener, cooler version, this Afghan NDS v2 is a strong pick — its green palette is more dominant and muted than the warm v1. It appeals to collectors of ERDL, woodland and Afghan camouflage. And its green, grey-green and brown palette pairs naturally with olive, khaki, green, denim and grey. It is a soft, wearable camo.

Production and fulfilment take about 4–7 days before your order is handed to shipping; courier delivery time then depends on your destination. Please double-check the size chart before ordering — because each item is made for you, returns are easier to avoid by choosing the right size up front. If a print runs slightly differently from what you see on screen, that is the nature of made-to-order garment printing.
Disclosure
This is a reproduction / military-inspired item, not an issued uniform, and the garment itself is a modern printed piece for everyday wear. The ERDL naming and the Afghan NDS association come from documented pattern history; “v2” is a MegaCamo colourway label and this is not official issue equipment.
