Pattern: Bulgarian DPM

This is the classic green DPM — the disruptive pattern material that spread around the world after the British example, and the Bulgarian version is a solid, working woodland rendition. It is the standard reference for what a bush DPM should look like.

MegaCamo’s catalogue calls this the Bulgarian DPM. On the image the ground is a mid green, and the disruptive shapes are a dark forest green, a warm brown, a grey and a near-black, arranged in organic bands and rounded patches. The palette is a true green-brown woodland.

On the hooded tee the green-and-brown DPM reads as a natural, hard-wearing bush camo. The organic bands break up the silhouette in the classic way, and the rich green palette makes it a versatile everyday piece that works almost anywhere. It is the archetypal woodland camo.

Why own it: the Bulgarian DPM is the reference woodland disruptive pattern. Its rich green-and-brown palette and proven construction make it a timeless, reliable camouflage that never looks out of place.

The garment. This is a lightweight long-sleeve hooded T-shirt, printed all over with the pattern you see on the image. It is cut with long sleeves and a hood and fits as a regular, athletic top. The fabric is a 94% polyester / 6% spandex blend, so it stretches with you, feels smooth against the skin and takes the all-over print cleanly. It is a lightweight piece — about 0.374 kg — and runs in sizes S to 3XL.

Fit and size. Because the sizes run S–3XL, pick the one closest to your usual top size; the stretch in the spandex gives a little forgiveness, but for a closer cut take a size down and for a looser, layer-over fit take a size up. The print is applied across the whole garment, so the pattern continues over the chest, arms and hood without a break.

Made to Order. Each shirt is printed and sewn after you place your order. Production and fulfilment take roughly 4 to 7 days before the item ships — that is the time to make and pack it, not the total delivery time, which then depends on transport once it leaves us. It is not sitting on a shelf, and that is what lets us offer patterns that would never be worth stocking.

Care. To protect the print, machine wash at or below 45°C, do not use bleach and avoid prolonged soaking. Launder on a normal cycle with like colours and don’t tumble dry hot. Cold, gentle washing is the best way to keep the colours bright.
