Pattern: Greek Lizard Air Force v2
A cool blue-dominant brushstroke lizard — grey-green and blue stripes on a pale grey ground, one of the Hellenic Air Force’s blue lizard variants.
About the pattern
Alongside the standard “Greek lizard” brushstroke pattern, the Hellenic Air Force had its own variations. Camopedia records that a variation of the standard Greek lizard was introduced in the 1990s specifically for the Air Force, and a later variant features grey-green and blue stripes on a pale grey background. These blue-dominant designs were retired in 2021, with the Air Force then taking on the standard pattern used by the rest of the Greek Armed Forces. This render is one of those Air Force blue lizard variants, the cooler, steel-toned take on the classic Greek brushstroke family.
This Greek Lizard Air Force v2 colourway
The base is a pale grey, cool and light, and over it run irregular brushstroke stripes in a grey-green and a blue that leans toward slate or steel. The strokes are not clean lines — they have ragged, brush-drawn edges and breaks, giving them a broken, painted character. The palette is entirely cool, with no warm tan or bright green, so the pattern reads as a blue-grey version of the Greek lizard. The strokes flow in a fairly horizontal, streaky rhythm across the surface.
How it reads on the garment
Because the palette is pale and cool, this pattern prints with a light, clean feel rather than a heavy one. On the body the grey ground sits behind the grey-green and slate-blue strokes, giving the surface a streaky, almost watery rhythm that reads clearly as a lizard-family pattern. It is one of the cooler and more unusual takes on the brushstroke family, and it stands out against the more common green-and-brown lizards. The pale grey ground blends cleanly into the light hood lining and collar, keeping the neckline tidy.
Why own it
If you like the brushstroke lizard but want something cooler and more unusual than the standard green version, this Air Force blue render is a strong and rare pick — the grey-green and slate-blue palette is a genuine departure, and it is tied to the documented Hellenic Air Force lizard variants. It pairs beautifully with grey, navy, denim and white, and it reads as a clean, modern everyday print rather than as a classic field camo.

Production and fulfilment take about 4–7 days before your order is handed to shipping; courier delivery time then depends on your destination. Please double-check the size chart before ordering — because each item is made for you, returns are easier to avoid by choosing the right size up front. If a print runs slightly differently from what you see on screen, that is the nature of made-to-order garment printing.
Disclosure
This is a reproduction / military-inspired item, not an issued uniform, and the garment itself is a modern printed piece for everyday wear. The Hellenic Air Force blue lizard variation and the 2021 retirement come from documented pattern history; “v2” is a MegaCamo colourway label and this is not official Greek issue equipment.
