About the Palmenmuster camouflage

Palmenmuster was one of a family of German patterns built from repeated branching forms rather than dots or blobs. Its shapes grow across the fabric in feathery, palm-like strokes set against an irregular blotched background, so the eye reads a living, organic surface instead of a flat print. Like the other Waffen-SS patterns, it was produced in seasonal colourways so troops could match the foliage around them.
