Argentine Marines Mimetizado Comandos Anfibios Lightweight Hooded T-Shirt

Pattern: Argentine Marines Mimetizado Comandos Anfibios — Woodland

This is the woodland mimetizado pattern of the Argentine Marines, the Infantería de Marina. “Mimetizado” is the Argentine military term for its camouflage, and this lobate woodland design was favored by the Naval Infantry, worn into the mid-1990s. The Comandos Anfibios are the Marines’ amphibious commando arm, closely associated with this pattern.

The woodland rendition is a deep, terrestrial design. The base is a dark olive-green, and over it sit large soft-edged lobate shapes of black, brown and a lighter green, scattered irregularly across the garment. The shapes are organic and rounded rather than hard-edged, which is the signature of the mimetizado family.

On long sleeves and hood this reads as a rich, dark woodland camo with real depth. The large rounded shapes let each colour breathe, so the pattern holds up across the body and reads clearly as a green woodland even at distance.

Why own it: this is the genuine Argentine Marines woodland, a distinct national pattern with an interesting unit history (the amphibious commandos). It is darker and more organic than the common European woodlands, so it stands out as both a collector item and a striking everyday top.

The garment. This is a lightweight long-sleeve hooded T-shirt, printed all over with the pattern you see on the image. It is cut with long sleeves and a hood and fits as a regular, athletic top. The fabric is a 94% polyester / 6% spandex blend, so it stretches with you, feels smooth against the skin and takes the all-over print cleanly. It is a lightweight piece — about 0.374 kg — and runs in sizes S to 3XL.

Fit and size. Because the sizes run S–3XL, pick the one closest to your usual top size; the stretch in the spandex gives a little forgiveness, but for a closer cut take a size down and for a looser, layer-over fit take a size up. The print is applied across the whole garment, so the pattern continues over the chest, arms and hood without a break.

Made to Order. Each shirt is printed and sewn after you place your order. Production and fulfilment take roughly 4 to 7 days before the item ships — that is the time to make and pack it, not the total delivery time, which then depends on transport once it leaves us. It is not sitting on a shelf, and that is what lets us offer patterns that would never be worth stocking.

Care. To protect the print, machine wash at or below 45°C, do not use bleach and avoid prolonged soaking. Launder on a normal cycle with like colours and don’t tumble dry hot. Cold, gentle washing is the best way to keep the colours bright.
