Pattern: China PLA Navy Oceanic Woodland

This is the Oceanic Woodland pattern of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Navy, a wet-green and blue camouflage designed for coastal and marine operations. It blends a green woodland feel with oceanic blue, sitting somewhere between land and sea.

MegaCamo’s catalogue calls this the China PLN Oceanic Woodland. On the image the ground is a desaturated grey-green-blue, and the organic shapes are an olive-green, a steel-blue, a grey and a darker blue, layered in flowing bands. The palette is a cool mix of green and blue.

On the hooded tee the green-blue ocean pattern reads as a natural, low-contrast marine camo. The olive-and-blue bands are quiet and easy on the eye, and the cool palette works for coastal, outdoor and everyday wear. It is a distinctive, understated piece.

The garment. This is a lightweight long-sleeve hooded T-shirt, printed all over with the pattern you see on the image. It is cut with long sleeves and a hood and fits as a regular, athletic top. The fabric is a 94% polyester / 6% spandex blend, so it stretches with you, feels smooth against the skin and takes the all-over print cleanly. It is a lightweight piece — about 0.374 kg — and runs in sizes S to 3XL.

Fit and size. Because the sizes run S–3XL, pick the one closest to your usual top size; the stretch in the spandex gives a little forgiveness, but for a closer cut take a size down and for a looser, layer-over fit take a size up. The print is applied across the whole garment, so the pattern continues over the chest, arms and hood without a break.

Made to Order. Each shirt is printed and sewn after you place your order. Production and fulfilment take roughly 4 to 7 days before the item ships — that is the time to make and pack it, not the total delivery time, which then depends on transport once it leaves us. It is not sitting on a shelf, and that is what lets us offer patterns that would never be worth stocking.

Care. To protect the print, machine wash at or below 45°C, do not use bleach and avoid prolonged soaking. Launder on a normal cycle with like colours and don’t tumble dry hot. Cold, gentle washing is the best way to keep the colours bright.
