Pattern: Iran Navy NEDAJA Pixelated
A dark grey-blue naval digital pixel — the Iranian Navy’s short-lived copy of the US Navy’s NWU family.
About the pattern
NEDAJA is the Navy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, one of the branches of the Artesh alongside the Army, Air Force and Air Defence. Camopedia records that NEDAJA personnel adopted a copy of the US Navy’s NWU-1 pixelated design around 2016, and that its use appears to have been very short-lived and possibly experimental. This render is that kind of naval digital: a dark, cool pixel built from slate grey, blue-grey and darker navy-blue on a pale grey-blue base, with black accents. It is the maritime counterpart to the paler Iranian Air Force pixel — darker, more sombre and more clearly naval in feel.
This NEDAJA Pixelated colourway
The base is a pale grey-blue, cool and slightly metallic. Over it sit clusters of pixel in a mid slate-grey, a deeper navy-blue and scattered near-black accents, with small flecks of pale grey-blue tying them together. The pixels are small and tightly packed, so the pattern reads as a fine, dense grain. Compared to the bright Air Force pixel, this version is noticeably darker and more muted, with a sombre, steel-and-slate palette that stays entirely in the cool blue-grey register. There is no green, brown or warm tan anywhere.
How it reads on the garment
Because the palette is darker and more closely valued, this pattern prints with a softer, more understated feel than a bright pixel. On the body the slate and navy pixels merge into a smoky grey-blue field at a distance, reading as subtle printed fabric rather than loud military kit. It is one of the quieter digital patterns on the site, which makes it an easy everyday wear. The pale grey-blue base sits lightly against the hood lining and collar, keeping the neckline clean.
Why own it
If you want a genuinely cool, naval digital that is not the usual green and brown, this is a strong and rare pick. It is tied to a documented piece of Iranian naval history — a copy of the US NWU-1 design adopted around 2016 and apparently short-lived — so it has real collectible interest. Its dark slate-and-navy palette also makes it one of the most wearable camos for anyone who finds bright pixels too loud: it is neutral, understated and easy to pair with grey, navy, black and denim.

Made to order
Each hooded tee is printed and sewn to order rather than stored in a warehouse, so the pattern is freshly applied for you. Production and fulfilment take about 4–7 days before your order is handed to shipping; courier delivery time then depends on your destination. Please double-check the size chart before ordering — because each item is made for you, returns are easier to avoid by choosing the right size up front. If a print runs slightly differently from what you see on screen, that is the nature of made-to-order garment printing.
Disclosure
This is a reproduction / military-inspired item, not an issued uniform, and the garment itself is a modern printed piece for everyday wear. The NEDAJA / NWU-1 association comes from documented pattern history, but this is not official Iranian or US issue equipment.
