Pattern: Iranian Iran-Iraq War Panther v4
A bright green-forward spot pattern — the most saturated of the Iran-Iraq War Panther family, with vivid green spots on a tan and brown ground.
About the pattern
Iran’s Panther camouflage is a copy of the American m1942 spot design, produced since the 1970s and heavily used by the Basij during the Iran–Iraq War. While the most common versions run tan or desert, Camopedia records a variation that substitutes green for the usual khaki-brown. This v4 render is the most green-forward and saturated of the Panther family: bright green spots set against a tan and brown ground, giving the pattern a lively, high-contrast character that stands apart from the muted v1 and the warm v3.
This Panther v4 colourway
The base is a warm tan, and over it sit rounded, irregular spots in a bright, vivid green and a mid-brown. The green is noticeably brighter and more saturated than in the other Panther renders, which gives the pattern a lively, almost spring-like energy. The spots are organic and soft-edged, flowing into one another with gently rounded edges, and they are fairly dense. The warm tan ground and the bright green spots create a clear, readable contrast that makes the pattern stand out.
How it reads on the garment
Because the green is bright and the contrast is clear, this pattern prints with a lively, energetic feel rather than a muted one. On the body the tan ground sits behind the bright green and brown spots, giving the surface a vivid, organic rhythm that reads well at a distance. It is one of the more striking spot patterns, with a fresh, natural character. The warm ground sits well against the light hood lining and collar, keeping the neckline tidy.
Why own it
If you want a spot pattern with a bit more life and colour than the muted desert versions, the Panther v4 is a strong pick — the bright green-forward palette is distinctive and eye-catching. It carries the documented lineage of the Iranian copy of the American m1942 spot design, used during the Iran–Iraq War, so it appeals to collectors, while its warm-and-green palette pairs naturally with khaki, olive, denim, brown and white. It is a more saturated, lively take on a classic spot camo.

If a print runs slightly differently from what you see on screen, that is the nature of made-to-order garment printing.
Disclosure
This is a reproduction / military-inspired item, not an issued uniform, and the garment itself is a modern printed piece for everyday wear. The Panther naming and the Iran–Iraq War association come from documented pattern history, but “v4” is a MegaCamo colourway label and the piece is not official Iranian issue equipment.
