Pattern: Myanmar Tatmadaw Navy Digipat 2016
This is the navy rendition of the Myanmar Tatmadaw digital camouflage. It uses the same blocky pixel construction as the other Digipat colours but re-colours it for the maritime branch, in a cool blue range that reads as a naval service camouflage.
MegaCamo’s catalogue calls this the Myanmar Tatmadaw Navy Digipat 2016. On the image the ground is a deep blue, and the pixel fragments are a lighter steel-blue, a navy and a near-black, in dense blocky units. The palette is entirely blue, with no green or brown at all.
On the hooded tee the blue pixel pattern reads as a crisp, distinctive naval camo. The steel-blue and navy fragments give it a clean, technical look, and the cool palette stands out clearly from woodland and desert patterns. It is a striking, wearable piece.
Why own it: the blue navy digipat is an eye-catching and unusual colourway. The all-blue pixel palette is rare in camo and gives the garment a fresh, maritime character that is very different from the usual greens.
The garment. This is a lightweight long-sleeve hooded T-shirt, printed all over with the pattern you see on the image. It is cut with long sleeves and a hood and fits as a regular, athletic top. The fabric is a 94% polyester / 6% spandex blend, so it stretches with you, feels smooth against the skin and takes the all-over print cleanly. It is a lightweight piece — about 0.374 kg — and runs in sizes S to 3XL.
Fit and size. Because the sizes run S–3XL, pick the one closest to your usual top size; the stretch in the spandex gives a little forgiveness, but for a closer cut take a size down and for a looser, layer-over fit take a size up. The print is applied across the whole garment, so the pattern continues over the chest, arms and hood without a break.
Made to Order. Each shirt is printed and sewn after you place your order. Production and fulfilment take roughly 4 to 7 days before the item ships — that is the time to make and pack it, not the total delivery time, which then depends on transport once it leaves us. It is not sitting on a shelf, and that is what lets us offer patterns that would never be worth stocking.
Care. To protect the print, machine wash at or below 45°C, do not use bleach and avoid prolonged soaking. Launder on a normal cycle with like colours and don’t tumble dry hot. Cold, gentle washing is the best way to keep the colours bright.
