Pattern: Bulgarian Air Force DPM
This is a disruptive pattern in the British DPM manner, re-coloured for the Bulgarian Air Force. It keeps the banded, broken DPM construction — irregular organic shapes that snake across the fabric — but runs it in a cold grey-blue palette.
MegaCamo’s catalogue calls this the Bulgarian Air Force DPM. On the image the ground is a grey-green, and the disruptive shapes are a slate-blue-grey, a paler grey and a near-black, arranged in long, sweeping bands and rounded patches. The overall read is cool and bluish.
On a long-sleeve shirt the flowing DPM bands break the surface into sweeping, organic shapes. The grey-blue palette gives it an airy, almost marine or winter character, distinct from the green ground DPM, and the long disruptive bands are elegant and easy on the eye.
Why own it: the Air Force DPM is a cool, bluish take on a classic disruptive pattern. The grey-blue palette and the flowing bands make it a smart, understated woodland alternative with real international history.
The garment. This is a lightweight long-sleeve hooded T-shirt, printed all over with the pattern you see on the image. It is cut with long sleeves and a hood and fits as a regular, athletic top. The fabric is a 94% polyester / 6% spandex blend, so it stretches with you, feels smooth against the skin and takes the all-over print cleanly. It is a lightweight piece — about 0.374 kg — and runs in sizes S to 3XL.
Fit and size. Because the sizes run S–3XL, pick the one closest to your usual top size; the stretch in the spandex gives a little forgiveness, but for a closer cut take a size down and for a looser, layer-over fit take a size up. The print is applied across the whole garment, so the pattern continues over the chest, arms and hood without a break.
Made to Order. Each shirt is printed and sewn after you place your order. Production and fulfilment take roughly 4 to 7 days before the item ships — that is the time to make and pack it, not the total delivery time, which then depends on transport once it leaves us. It is not sitting on a shelf, and that is what lets us offer patterns that would never be worth stocking.
Care. To protect the print, machine wash at or below 45°C, do not use bleach and avoid prolonged soaking. Launder on a normal cycle with like colours and don’t tumble dry hot. Cold, gentle washing is the best way to keep the colours bright.
