Pattern: Gabon Army
A bright, green-forward CE woodland brushstroke — forest green, black and cream strokes on a green ground.
About the pattern
The CE (Central Europe) woodland is a French brushstroke camouflage built from broad diagonal strokes, widely worn by former French colonies. Camopedia records the French CE woodland was adopted in Gabon around 2001–2002, replacing the older lizard. It also notes around 2007 several colour variations of the CE woodland began appearing, and a pale-green-background version was worn by several units. This render is a bright, green-forward CE woodland in a Gabonese Army colourway.
This Army colourway
The ground is a medium green, and over it sit broad, diagonal brushstroke shapes in a forest-green, a black and a cream, with feathered, brush-drawn edges. The strokes run diagonally and overlap to break up the surface. Compared to the Land Forces green, this render is brighter and greener, with strong black and cream strokes giving it more contrast. The palette is green — green, forest-green, black and cream — giving the pattern a bright, vivid CE woodland look.
How it reads on the garment
Because the strokes are broad and the black adds contrast, this pattern prints with a bright, natural feel. On the body the green ground sits behind the forest-green, black and cream strokes, giving the surface a feathered, organic texture. It reads as a bright green CE woodland, vivid and easy to wear. The green ground sits reasonably against the light hood lining and collar, keeping the neckline tidy.
Why own it
If you like the French CE woodland family and want a bright, green-forward colourway, this Gabonese Army render is a strong pick — the vivid green with black and cream strokes is more contrast-y than the muted Land Forces green. It appeals to collectors of African and French-heritage camouflage. And its green, black and cream palette pairs naturally with olive, khaki, green, denim and black. It is a bright, characterful camo.

Each hooded tee is printed and sewn to order rather than stored in a warehouse, so the pattern is freshly applied for you. Production and fulfilment take about 4–7 days before your order is handed to shipping; courier delivery time then depends on your destination. Please double-check the size chart before ordering — because each item is made for you, returns are easier to avoid by choosing the right size up front. If a print runs slightly differently from what you see on screen, that is the nature of made-to-order garment printing.
Disclosure
This is a reproduction / military-inspired item, not an issued uniform, and the garment itself is a modern printed piece for everyday wear. The CE woodland naming and the Gabon Army association come from documented pattern history, but this is not official issue equipment.
