About the pattern

The frog skin or “spot” pattern is one of the classic camouflage families, and Iran produced its own copies of the American m1942 spot design from the 1970s Imperial period onward. Where the Iranian “Panther” versions tend to run tan or desert, this render keeps the light-green register of a woodland frog skin: a pale green ground, a dark olive mid-tone, and distinct brown spots laid over the top. It is the pattern most people picture when they hear “frog skin” — the same family that Marine Raiders and later special-operations units wore — and in this case it is framed as the Iranian airborne take on the design. The spots are irregular and organic rather than geometric or pixelated.

The base is a light, slightly yellow-green, and over it sit two layers of shape: a softer olive-green mid-tone that fills the spaces between the spots, and a stronger chocolate-brown set of irregular blobs that break across the surface. The proportions are classic frog skin, with the brown spots clearly defined against the lighter green, giving the pattern a clean, readable structure.
