The Chasseurs Alpins, the French Army’s mountain infantry, are built around high-altitude combat in the Alps, snow, rock and scree, and it is that terrain that gives the “Tundra” family its reason to exist. This white mountain camouflage uses a pale, bright base and scatters thin, broken, horizontally-running streaks of olive green and soft pinkish-tan across it, in a soft and organic, non-digital layout. The design principle is identical: the white base breaks up the silhouette against snow, and the green and tan fragments stand in for exposed rock and sparse alpine vegetation.

The cargo shorts. Cut in a regular fit from 100% polyester at 190 g/m2, with a button waistband and multiple cargo-style pockets for keys, phone or wallet. The fabric is lightweight and breathable with a denim-like surface, so the printed pattern sits on a short that wears as everyday clothing rather than as surplus kit.

Fit and wear. The regular cut sits at the waist under a button closure, the pockets sit flat when they are empty, and the fabric moves with you on long days outside. It pairs with a plain tee, a hoodie or a camo jacket, and with sneakers, boots or sandals, so it works for warm-weather wear as much as for everyday use.

From mock-up to product. Your pair is printed and cut for your order rather than picked from stock, so small differences can occur between the mock-up and the final short, in colour, pattern placement or the position of a design element.
