About the Russian Kamysh camouflage

Kamysh is the Russian word for reed, and the pattern is a direct nod to that: a surface of horizontal, streaky shapes that drift across the fabric the way reeds and tall grass sway in the wind. The catalogue spells it Kamush, and both spellings describe the same family of Russian camouflage. As a family it is most often linked with Russian law-enforcement and special-purpose units – notably OMON and the MVD – from the 1990s onward, used in both woodland and urban roles. It is a distinctly horizontal pattern; set it next to a vertical stripe or a dotted fleck and the reed feel becomes obvious.

The Arid colorway

Arid is MegaCamo’s own tan and sand interpretation of the Kamush. Instead of the green, leafy palette, this colorway uses a warm sand or khaki ground, olive streaks and a soft brown. The result is a hoodie that sits naturally under a desert or earth-tone wardrobe rather than standing out against it. To keep it at its best, machine wash cold, do not bleach and do not tumble dry.
