About the pattern

The CE (Central Europe) woodland is a French brushstroke camouflage built from broad diagonal strokes, widely worn by former French colonies. Camopedia records that, at the same time the Gabonese armed forces adopted variations of the CE woodland, the Police Nationale began wearing a version with a blue colourway. This render is the blue CE woodland brushstroke of the Gabon Police.

The ground is a dark navy-blue, and over it sit broad, diagonal brushstroke shapes in a black and a lighter blue, with feathered, brush-drawn edges. The strokes run diagonally and overlap to break up the surface. The palette is blue — dark navy, black and lighter blue — giving the pattern a cool, law-enforcement look. The feathered edges give it the characteristic brushstroke texture of the CE woodland family. It is the most blue-dominant of the Gabonese CE woodland colourways.

How it reads on the garment

Because the strokes are broad and the palette is blue, this pattern prints with a soft, cool, distinctive feel.
