About the pattern

The standard “Greek lizard” pattern is the design most commonly associated with the Hellenic Armed Forces, a brushstroke camouflage descended from the French tenue leopard and the Portuguese vertical-lizard styles. Camopedia records that a desert version of the Greek lizard was introduced more recently and issued to Hellenic Armed Forces personnel deployed to arid regions.
