Pattern: Iranian Iran-Iraq War Panther v12
A desert Panther: rust and olive blobs on a sandy ground — the warmest, most arid take on Iran’s copy of the American spot pattern.
About the pattern
The Iranian Panther camouflage is a home-grown copy of the American m1942 spot design, produced from the 1970s Imperial period onward. Camopedia records that it was heavily used by the Basij volunteer forces during the Iran–Iraq War, and that the tan or desert versions are the most commonly encountered, worn by takavar special-operations personnel and regular army units alike. This v12 render is the desert take on the family: instead of the greens and browns of a woodland Panther, it uses a warm sand palette that sits much closer to the classic desert spot patterns seen across the Middle East.
This v12 colourway
In the v12 render the ground is a light tan, a clean sand tone, and over it sit large rounded blobs in a rust-brown and a duller olive-khaki. There is no black and no bright green — the whole palette stays warm and earthy. The shapes are organic and irregular, flowing into one another with soft edges rather than crisp outlines. Compared to the greener Panther v11, this version is noticeably drier and sun-baked, the kind of colourway that would sit naturally in a desert or arid environment.
How it reads on the garment
Because the palette is light and warm, this pattern prints with a bright, open feel rather than a heavy, shadowed one. On the body the sandy ground dominates, with the rust and olive blobs breaking it up in a soft, natural rhythm. It has a classic desert-camo look that people immediately recognise, but the organic shapes keep it from feeling like a generic six-colour desert print. The tan ground blends cleanly into the pale hood lining and collar, leaving a tidy neckline.
Why own it
If you want a desert camo with real character, the Panther v12 is a strong pick: it is a documented Iranian copy of the American m1942 spot pattern, used by the Basij during the Iran–Iraq War, so it carries a genuine lineage rather than being a generic desert print. Its warm rust-and-sand palette is also one of the most wearable desert looks out there — it pairs beautifully with tan, olive, denim and white, and it reads as a natural, sun-baked surface rather than as loud military gear.

Made to order
Each hooded tee is printed and sewn to order rather than stored in a warehouse, so the pattern is freshly applied for you. Production and fulfilment take about 4–7 days before your order is handed to shipping; courier delivery time then depends on your destination. Please double-check the size chart before ordering — because each item is made for you, returns are easier to avoid by choosing the right size up front. If a print runs slightly differently from what you see on screen, that is the nature of made-to-order garment printing.
Disclosure
This is a reproduction / military-inspired item, not an issued uniform, and the garment itself is a modern printed piece for everyday wear. The Panther naming and the Iran–Iraq War association come from documented pattern history, but “v12” is a MegaCamo colourway label and the piece is not official Iranian issue equipment.
