Pattern: Iranian Iran-Iraq War Panther v2
A pale grey-green spot pattern — the coolest and lightest of the Iran-Iraq War Panther family, with sage spots on a grey ground.
About the pattern
Iran’s Panther camouflage is a copy of the American m1942 spot design, produced since the 1970s and heavily used by the Basij during the Iran–Iraq War. Most Panther versions run tan or desert, though Camopedia records that a variation substitutes green for the usual khaki-brown. This v2 render is a cool, pale take: instead of a warm tan or a deep olive, it uses a grey ground with sage-green spots, giving the pattern a frosty, muted character that sits apart from the warmer Panther colourways.
This Panther v2 colourway
The base is a pale grey, cool and light, and over it sit rounded, irregular spots in a sage or grey-green. There is no warm tan, no brown and no black — the whole palette stays cool and desaturated. The spots are organic and soft-edged, flowing into one another with gently rounded edges, and they are fairly dense. The pale grey ground and the sage spots sit close in value, so the pattern reads as a soft, low-contrast grey-green field rather than a high-contrast one.
How it reads on the garment
Because the palette is pale and cool, this pattern prints with a light, airy feel rather than a heavy one. On the body the grey ground and sage spots merge into a gentle, mottled grey-green at a distance, reading as subtle printed fabric rather than as striking military kit. It is one of the lighter and more understated spot patterns, which makes it an easy everyday wear. The pale grey ground blends cleanly into the light hood lining and collar, keeping the neckline tidy.
Why own it
If you want a spot pattern that is cool and understated rather than the usual warm tan and brown, the Panther v2 is a distinctive pick — the pale grey-and-sage palette is a genuine change from the desert Panther versions. It carries the documented lineage of the Iranian copy of the American m1942 spot design, used during the Iran–Iraq War, so it appeals to collectors, while its neutral grey-green palette makes it easy to pair with grey, olive, denim and white.

Made to order
Each hooded tee is printed and sewn to order rather than stored in a warehouse, so the pattern is freshly applied for you. Production and fulfilment take about 4–7 days before your order is handed to shipping; courier delivery time then depends on your destination. Please double-check the size chart before ordering — because each item is made for you, returns are easier to avoid by choosing the right size up front. If a print runs slightly differently from what you see on screen, that is the nature of made-to-order garment printing.
Disclosure
This is a reproduction / military-inspired item, not an issued uniform, and the garment itself is a modern printed piece for everyday wear. The Panther naming and the Iran–Iraq War association come from documented pattern history, but “v2” is a MegaCamo colourway label and the piece is not official Iranian issue equipment.
